Infatuation and pain collide in this found footage memoir from the summer of 2019.

This thesis project was free reign and it took me a really long time to figure out what I wanted to do. I thought 'how can I challenge myself but also stay in the familiar zone to keep from being totally lost?'. I thought back to my submission film and how mockumentary is a style I've grown close to, but I also thought about how my biggest challenges were in narrative filmmaking. I wanted to really challenge myself in my last film and this was the way to do it. It's easy for me to write monologues on how my upbringing has shaped who I am or how mental health feels for me specifically. Creating something that is both personal to my emotions as well as a technical piece is the real challenge. I'm not entirely pleased with how it turned out just because it's so fast paced and I couldn't reshoot. Overall I love the concept I tried out and I plan on refurbishing this in someway this upcoming school year.
